Email Alerts

Setup

Go to Project Settings → Alerts and add an alerts email address. Save & test sends a confirmation email immediately, the same way the Slack webhook field verifies your webhook URL.

There's one alerts email per project — no per-member subscriptions or unsubscribe flow. If your team needs multiple people notified, point it at a shared inbox or a mail-forwarding rule you manage yourself.

What triggers an email

Every alert rule that's enabled for the project sends to email the same way it sends to Slack — a new issue, a regression on a resolved issue, an error spike, a latency regression, a traffic flatline, or a quota warning.

Each rule keeps its usual cooldown before it can fire again for the same project, so email won't repeat itself. That cooldown clock runs separately from Slack's, so muting or delaying one channel doesn't affect the other.

Using it alongside Slack

Email is an additional channel, not a replacement — set both a Slack webhook and an alerts email on the same project and an enabled rule sends to both. See Slack Integration for webhook setup.

Delivery isn't retried on failure — if your mail server rejects or times out, that alert is dropped rather than queued.
