Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (name, email address) and information generated by your use of the Service (error events, performance metrics, session data, and usage logs). We also collect your plan tier (Free, Pro, or Max) and account metadata. We do not collect or store payment card information — payment processing will be handled by a third-party processor. We also collect standard server logs including IP addresses and browser user agents.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to provide and improve the Service, manage your account and plan tier, send transactional emails (account creation, invites, alerts), and respond to support requests. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Error and Event Data
Error events, stack traces, performance metrics, and breadcrumbs submitted to our ingest endpoint are stored to power the dashboard features. This data may include information about your end users. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate consent from your users before instrumenting your applications.
4. Data Retention
Event data is retained for 90 days. Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription and 30 days after cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@useveriq.com.
5. Data Security
API keys are stored as one-way hashes (SHA-256). Session cookies are HttpOnly and signed. All data is transmitted over TLS. Access to production databases is restricted to authenticated service accounts.
6. Third-Party Services
We use Supabase (database), Firebase (authentication), Vercel (dashboard hosting), Render (ingest hosting), and Groq (AI summaries). Payment processing is not yet active; this notice will be updated when a payment processor is integrated. Each processor handles data according to their own privacy policies. AI summary requests send error context to Groq's API — no personally identifiable information is deliberately included, but review your error data before enabling AI summaries.
7. Cookies
We use a single HttpOnly session cookie (__session) for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. No analytics scripts are loaded on any veriq page.
8. Your Rights
You may access, correct, or delete your account data at any time from your account settings or by emailing hello@useveriq.com. If you are in the EEA or UK, you have rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
